Learning about India

Year 2 learnt all about Indian dance with the Music Service. Indian dance is very graceful with alot of hand movement.

The children learnt that bells and drums are used to keep the rhythm while they dance.

They had a go at dancing with bells on their wrists and ankles. It was fun

The children in Year 2 also had an Indian music workshop. They enjoyed playing instruments to the Indian music, including bells and triangles.

Some children played the Tibetan bells

The Year 2 children also learnt about Indian clothing. They measured Mrs. Turners Sari. It was 5 metres and 26 centimetres long!
The children even had chance to dress up in traditional Indian costume. They really did have a great time!
